The laboratory led by Prof. Simona Rapposelli, with the support of Dr. Francesco Margheriti, has developed an innovative patented process for the extraction of bioactive molecules from plant-based waste materials.
Based on the principles of green chemistry and eco-compatible methodologies, this research activity aims to transform agro-industrial byproducts into high-value resources.

The extracted molecules can be used in the development of cosmetic or nutraceutical products, combining sustainability with functional efficacy.

Chemical Analysis

We provide full chemical profiling of the extracts, including the quantification and identification of phenols, polyphenols, flavonoids, and other active molecules, using advanced analytical techniques.
